Booking and payment

Yes, boarding pets (one type) from the same household will automatically apply discounts. Please refer to out fee guide here [link].  There is also a 10% discount applied for stays over 14 days.

We require 50% payment upon confirmation of the booking and 50% before the check in.

Due to small capacity the deposit is non-refundable. In some circumstances e.g., more than 4 weeks before the booked date we may be able to approve the refund on a case-by-case basis.

Pre-booking: health, medication, and treatment

We follow the regulators requirements which sets the necessary vaccinations for boarding provisions. The latest dose of the vaccine should be given at least 2 weeks prior to start of the stay.

Cats: cat flu, feline enteritis, and feline leukaemia

Cats must receive worming and flea treatment within 3 months preceding boarding. We recommend that all cats receive treatment 2 weeks prior to checking in. In case theirs is no worming and flea record on arrival we will apply worming and flea treatment at £10 each, or £20 both.

Even if intact males and females do not display any behavioural challenges at home, they are likely to mark territory when introduced to new environment. This can cause stress to our other guests therefore we operate a strict only spayed/neutered cats policy with exception of kittens under 6 months of age.
Yes, we can administer a vet prescribed medication e.g., for diabetes, hypothyroidism, and other conditions as long as their condition is stable and not diagnosed recently. We will ask that you provide enough medication for your cat’s entire stay.
We will not check-in any pet with contiguous/infectious condition. We also reserve the right to decline admission of a pet with any unexplained symptoms that could indicate communicable disease or parasitic infestation.

Stay

We only ask that you bring your cats own brush if they require regular brushing. You will need to bring food in case your cat is on vet prescribed or special diet. You are most welcome to bring your cat’s bed, blanket, or small scratcher to bring some familiarity, but it’s not necessary and we will provide plenty of bedding and play equipment.
We follow strict infection control policy at Lovi Pet Hotel. Your cat will have their own room for their entire stay and won’t be in contact with other animals.
On arrival we ask that you stay with your cat while we are giving them a health check, weigh them and check for microchip. Where your cat isn’t up to date with worming and flea treatment we will administer these in your presence. We ask that you don’t feed your cat directly before coming as we would like to welcome them with a meal!
We ask that you arrive at the agreed time so we can prepare all your cat’s paperwork and equipment for collection.
We would usually advise against the visits, however in case of long-term boarding we can make exceptions.

Each room is equipped with two cameras, one pointing towards the bed and another one in the catio. The view covers a big proportion of the room so you should usually be able to see your cat, however some platforms located closer to the ceiling and skylights may not be in view.

On arrival you will be provided with the login instructions so you can access the service from mobile devices 24/7.

Feeding

We make effort to match the food that your cat eats at home. We offer a variety of foods and will try to match your cat’s usual food. The usual range includes:
  • Felix as Good as it looks range
  • Whiskas range
  • Sheba range
  • Gourmet
All our guests do have access to dry food through the day. The brand that we supply is Eukanuba Top Condition. Our guests will get occasional treats such as Dreamies and freshly cooked chicken. While we provide a range of foods it is impossible to stock all variety on the market. In case we do not stock your cat’s preferred brand or any special diet requirements we ask you that you provide the food for the duration of stay, and we will follow your guidance.
If your cat is on raw food diet, we will ask that you provide pre-packaged frozen food and one chilled packet so it will be ready for use for the next meal.
All our guests are fed twice a day AM and PM and have access to dry food through the day. Fresh water is available for our guests throughout the day.
Yes, if your cat uses wated fountain they will be provided one in their room.

Cats: wellbeing

All cats have different temperaments, and we would like to get as much information as possible to help your cat adapt well in our hotel. Some of our guests will settle with ease while more nervous ones may need some extra attention. If we care for a cat that is more wary, we encourage you to bring something with a familiar scent on it to help them feel more like home. We will also keep a close eye on your cat and provide you with regular updates.

We understand that separating from your cat can be a stressful event for both cat and you. In our provision we put extra effort into minimising stress and allowing your cat to display all natural feline behaviours, provide enough enrichment to prevent boredom.

All our cat guests have access to indoor and outdoor areas, multi-level platforms for climbing, scratching surfaces, plenty of visible wildlife for them to watch, ambient background music, Feliway diffuser as standard and daily human interaction and play.

However, if your cat typically suffers from severe separation anxiety we would discourage using a cattery at any time and recommend consulting a feline behaviourist.

The outdoor cats can be just as happy in the boarding as the indoor cats providing, they are neutered/spayed. Our pens have full height walls between the pens so it will minimise potential territorial stress as well as they will have access to catios through a cat flap.


The outdoor space allows our guests to do what they normally do outdoors: stalk wildlife! Several studies showed that giving an outdoor cat an opportunity to stalk their potential prey from a distance is sufficient enrichment.

It is important to distinguish playing from fighting. Cats from multiple cat households will often “pretend fight” and it is a typical feline behaviour. In normal play cats will be taking turns, display friendly body language and will not cause injuries to one another. In case of presence of aggression between your cat we would be able to board them in separate pens.
